A look back to move onward.
As 2018 comes to a close, I look back on the year and feel really great about it! I accomplished all of the goals I set for myself personally and professionally. It was also truly a year of growth in so many ways.
Among that growth and the many goals I accomplished, BestGentleman has been my favorite. Not only has the blog grown a lot, but so have I through the process, and I thank you for that success.
The words I write mean a lot to me, but that they resonate with you means so much more. The accountability for posting bi-weekly, maintaining social media accounts, scheduling photo shoots and interviews, curating seasonal collections, planning for future expansion, establishing a business, working out trademarks and copyrights all while working full time in the entertainment industry, maintaining a home and social life, training for physical events, eating healthy, constantly learning and growing, traveling, etc. is a huge undertaking, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. If there’s anything learned from this year, it’s that we are capable of so much.
“Excellence is a continuous process and not an accident”
A. P. J. Abdul Kalam
Short-term and Long-term goal planning are my biggest assets along my journey of success. Hitting those targets empower me in ways I cannot express through words, though I try. My main goal with BestGentleman is that you feel the same at the end of each year, month, week, and day! I am not here to simply motivate or inspire you, but to help you put action behind all of that because it is the work, not the words that matter most. I am going to continue to give it to you straight without a chaser because that’s how life works.
Make progress, not excuses!
If you are having an “oh sh*t” moment, forget about last year and focus on the next one. 2018 was great, but that’s behind us now. With 2019 just around the corner, how can you get started (if you haven’t already) to make it a standout year?
