Hard work puts you where good luck will find you. Hard work puts you where good luck will find you. Stop making excuses why you’re not successful and get to work. Sadly, I was taught at a young age that success, money, awards, & basically anything good in life was for the “other” guy. I knew in my heart this mindset was wrong, so I have spent my life proving that fallacy wrong. What it all comes down to is work, hard ass work! I will not be gentle about this because you cannot be gentle with your dreams. If you want to accomplish anything in life, you have to put in the time and the work. Light a fire and ignite your soul. People get confused by the ideas of: “work smarter not harder” and the 80/20 rule aka the Pareto principle. These are wonderful sayings and wonderful tools, but only after you’ve put in the blood sweat and tears, of which you will shed much of each when chasing a worthy goal. Success doesn’t just appear. These overnight success stories are all years in the making. I believe this because I live this. Hard work, dedication, and perseverance are among the many principles I use in order to accomplish my goals. Ever see a casually successful person? Neither have I. Happy International Women’s Day! Did you know t Happy International Women’s Day! Did you know that women inspired me to be the best gentleman I could, eventually leading to the creation of BestGentleman? Growing up with less than mediocre male influences, the women in my life taught me what it meant to be a great man. Because so many of the males in my life were run by fear, lust, or just plain immaturity, I had to either create the male influences (the man I wanted to become) or steal the best parts of those from fiction, such as: Batman, James Bond, etc. Two women who standout most are immigrants who came to the USA to create a better life, my Grandmother and Mother. My maternal grandmother taught me how to set a table, how to prepare dinner, how to make and savor my coffee, to clean my home, how to treat women, as well as to care for and present myself. My mother taught me to be brave in times of fear, to love and appreciate what I have, and to chase my dreams. My wife and my daughter inspire me to be my best self, and I show them the love and appreciation they deserve every day. These women, in addition to so many more, are held dear to my heart. Happy International Women’s Day to all the amazing women out there!
