Changing Your Life…

…is never easy, although it is definitely not impossible. Change is necessary if you want to move forward from who you are to who you want to be, from where you are in your life to where you want to be. Change always always always comes from within! It does not come from without.

Change is often seen as a quick shift, personified by the contrast of night and day. That may be the resulting observation; however, change is a process. It occurs in that space between the shift from night into day. In the transition where the blackness of night becomes illuminated by the break of the light of the dawn is where the actions we put into practice reveal the change we seek. A new day emerges and offers up new opportunity to us, allowing for us to begin again, anew. A better word for change is, evolution: the gradual development of something.

What was is no longer what is.

With every night into day cycle, we emerge stronger and greater than the one before. This is not to say it happens without conflict or obstacles, as it very well may. There will be days when the clouds do not break or the rain persists. Those are the days we need to push harder. Those are the days we may think to ourselves that maybe tomorrow the sun will shine on us. Truth be told, the sun always shines. It doesn’t always break through, but above the clouds lives a sun that burns brightly whether we can see it or not. On those days, you are responsible for making your own light.

There is no doubt that life gets hard; keep moving. Something may always seem to get in the way, though it is our response to those obstacles that either keeps us on course, shifting direction or worst of all, giving up entirely.

In the film, “Rocky Balboa”, Rocky told his son in an epic speech that, “It ain’t about how hard you hit, it’s how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward…That’s how winning is done.”

You decide your dreams and your outcome through inspiration and motivation. It is the action behind that which makes change, rather your personal evolution possible.

Who do you want to be? Where do you want to go?

Decide. Act. Evolve.

Onward,
